For a couple of reasons (the primary one being me spotting that Amazon had knocked £200 off the price) I now have in my grubby mitts a Garmin Fenix 3 watch.
As someone who’s only ever really used a seven quid Casio from Argos, this represents a bit of a jump in functionality. For example, I can now display a graph of atmospheric pressure over the last 40 hours. Should I ever find a use for that, I’ll let you know.
I’d also like to reassure you at this point that, despite Garmin’s best efforts, I will never refer to this watch as the fēnix.
